OH! MOTHER MARY

Oh! Mother Mary, how did you endure
I need some answers, to you I implore.
What did you do, what was life for you then
How did you manage, each moment without HIM?

Oh! Mother Mary, what they did to your Son
Imprisoned, held captive, reign of terror had begun.
You watched HIS scourging, the ripping to shreds
The baby you once carried, HIS flesh of your flesh.

Oh! Mother Mary, you were under great duress
Crown of thorns, battered deep within HIS head.
You watched them heckle, they spat in HIS face
King of the Jews, King of all the human race.

Oh! Mother Mary, how your heart must have died
They nailed HIM to a cross, your Son was crucified.
I pray to you for guidance, for love you have found
Fill my heart with peace, I'm so lost without my Mom.
