RESCUE ME

Will you come to my rescue
I need help crossing the street
For I am a blind old man
Lost sight when I was three.

Will you come to my rescue
I need a cup of coffee or soup
For I am an elderly woman
With only a dime in my shoe.

Will you come to my rescue
I need a warm place to rest
For I am without shelter
Cold winter will be my death.

Will you come to my rescue
I need a hand to hold
For I am a victim of AIDS
I'm dying a lonely soul.

Will you come to my rescue
I need a letter or three
For I am serving your Country
With no support or family.

Will you come to my rescue
I need to find this adoptee
For I was a young birthmother
Who joined so many registries.

I will come to your rescue
To fulfill your hopes and needs
For I know the cries of all men
Our Father came and rescued ME.
